Experienced And Committed Family Law Guidance
When you and your family are facing the challenges of a family law matter such as divorce, you want to be sure you are acting in your own best interests. To help you do that, it is only natural to seek out the guidance of an experienced family law attorney.
I am Jim Evans, a Virginia family law attorney with more than 50 years of experience helping families through the most difficult divorce cases. I know the outcome of any family law matter has the potential to shape how your family grows, which is why I do everything in my power to help you get the outcome you deserve in your family law needs.
How I Serve My Clients
In my decades of legal experience, I have spent 35 years as a Commissioner in Chancery and acted as a divorce commissioner for more than 14 years. In my role as a divorce commissioner, I acted in place of a judge, taking evidence and making rulings in contested divorce cases; and I set a precedent of interviewing children during a divorce with only a court reporter present. This experience aided me in evaluating marriage dissolution situations from an objective standpoint. As a result, I am able to accurately project how a judge might view your case if your divorce has to be litigated.
I am proud to help my clients through the challenges of family law matters including:
- Asset division
- Child custody
- Child support and alimony
- Military divorces
- Marriage dissolution
- Domestic abuse
My goal as your legal representation is to provide you with the outcome you deserve in your family law needs.
An Attorney You Can Trust
I have built my career on helping clients. I take the time to understand their individual needs before building a strategy to help them. If you are faced with a life-changing event, like a divorce or other family issues, do not go through it alone.
